August Family Orientation

August Family Orientation takes place on Wednesday, August 21. Registration opens in late July.

This program is for families whose students were admitted to the fall semester and were unable to attend a June/July Family Orientation session. It will introduce you to university leadership, professional staff, parent volunteers and current students who will share important information and advice.

While Family Orientation is optional, we strongly encourage you to attend. You’ll go home feeling more connected to the university and equipped with conversation topics to better support your student as he or she acclimates to UT Austin.

Online Registration

Online registration is strongly encouraged. The attendance charge covers all-day programming and staffing expenses as well as dinner. Charges can be paid by credit card only (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) and are as follows:

  • $40 per guest
  • Children under 10 are free

Change or Cancel Your Registration

Registration charges are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to change or cancel an existing registration (including adding or removing a registrant), please reply to your registration confirmation email with your desired change.
