This one-day program introduces you to university leadership, professional staff, parent volunteers and current students who will share important information and advice. Upon arrival, you and your student will be directed to separate check-in locations. At the end of the day, you’ll reconnect to enjoy a barbecue dinner (vegetarian option available). Afterwards, you’ll send your Longhorn on his or her way to complete Freshman Student Orientation.
While Freshman Family Orientation is optional, we strongly encourage you to attend. You’ll go home feeling more connected to the university and equipped with conversation topics to better support your student as your family continues preparation for the transition in August.
